The weight of us.
(still WIp, nearly complete)
The Weight of Us is a series of a couple in an awkward position in their relationship. Constant arguing and constant awkwardness have driven the couple to a standpoint where they start to talk to themselves, considering the possibility of ending their relationship. However, there are still tender moments in the relationship that make it feel whole again, like loving like they loved when they first met each other.

awkward…
This project explores intimacy, sadness, awkwardness, and most importantly, love in distress. Using the studio and a variety of hot lights, I articulated these emotions through the images. Not only this, but inspiration from both talented photographers Carrie Mae Weems and Pixy Liao, I utilized some techniques from their photographs to replicate into my own project, giving more inspiration to my own ideas and my own posing throughout the shoot. A heavy usage of photoshop provided the opportunity to present seamless clones in the images, giving a deeper meaning to every photo.
